As one of the oldest kilns around the world, Yue kiln is the cradle of celadon as well as the ancestor of porcelain. Yue celadon was first made in Shangyu in East Han dynasty. Among those kiln histories, Yue kiln is the earliest one which holds the largest presence in sites, boasting the richest ornament. Enjoying high praise, Yue celadon is famous as "the emerald green shining the mountains; the bright pearl topping the porcelain world". And in Tea Classics written by Lu Yu in Tang dynasty, Yue kiln also ranks the first among all kilns. Nowadays, celadon made in Yue kiln still possesses a high status in all levels of cultural relics section nationwide.
